FEDERAL BUILDERS, INC. is a domestic corporation duly organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the Republic of the Philippines with office address at 199 C.M. Recto cor. A. Mabini Streets, Brgy Addition Hills, San Juan, Metro Manila. It was duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under SEC Registration No. 69476. Its primary purpose is to engage in the business of general building and general engineering. It is owned and managed by the CHUA family.
The company was originally founded after the war by the late MR. CHUA LIONG, head of the Chua family under the name CHUA LIONG CONSTRUCTION. It prospered until it necessitated expansion in terms of organization.
Thus, on November 11, 1965, Mr. Chua Liong transformed the company into a partnership under the name FEDERAL BUILDERS. As partnership, it widened its scope of construction activities to include general building, construction and engineering works. Its first task of medium rise structure started in 1970 when it constructed a two 5-storey condominium building with line workmanship. These two (2) condominium units were a major breakthrough in the corporate life of the partnership. It paved the way towards undertaking projects of greater magnitude.
On September 8, 1976, the partnership became a corporation known as FEDERAL BUILDERS, INC. As a corporation, it applied for contractor’s license and on February 2, 1977, the Board of Licensing Contractors of the Professional Regulations Commission issued the company Contractor’s License No. 3208 under Class “A” category and under the classification of general engineering and general building. On December 28, 1992, the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board of the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines upgraded its category from “A” to “AAA”. The company likewise applied for registration and classification with the Inter-Agency Committee of the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board wherein it was granted, among others, Large “B” category for building and industrial plant and water supply, respectively.
From the time it was registered as a corporation, the company constructed variety of structures such as high rise buildings, condominiums, cinemas, commercial complexes, warehouses, transportation stations, sewers, to name a few. The company was the general contractor of four (4) multi-million projects, namely: the New World Hotel in Greenbelt, Makati; the Trafalgar Plaza in Salcedo Village, Makati; Ever-Gotesco Commercial Complex in Don Mariano Marcos Ave., Quezon City and the renovation of the Manila Clarion, now popularly known as The Heritage Hotel, located at Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
The company is financially and technically capable of handling construction projects whether vertical or horizontal. A battery of technical personnel who are competently qualified to handle delicate responsibilities supports the sound financial position of the company. In addition, the company owns various equipment and machineries that are readily available to be deployed in any area where they are needed.
